All laptops have a built-in video camera. Usually the window at the top of the screen is off. And it turns on only if the corresponding application is launched, for example, Skype. After the video session, it turns off again.

If you need to additionally connect the camera to a laptop, there are the following methods for this:

Key combination (Fn + V or Fn + Esc).
Through the device manager.
Using third-party programs.
In Windows 10, doing this is as easy as shelling pears. Open the "Start" menu and click on the word "Camera" in the list of programs. Then follow the prompts.
But it probably all depends on what kind of laptop you have and what operating system

I recommend you to use DriverPack. This will check the availability of drivers on your laptop and, if necessary, suggest a solution to the problem. With DriverPack, you can easily install new drivers or update existing drivers. It helped me.

I found Dell laptop drivers here and connected the hardware I needed. I also updated the graphics card. And now my laptop is working better
